What a Great Video!

This video is just too much. Apparently a young man in the South put it together. I promise, you will love it if you love America like I do. H/T to the Kaysers!

News Liberals Will Hate

You know how liberals love to bash Fox News? Well a new survey came out and guess what news is trusted most by Americans? You guessed it - Fox News. They won by 10 percentage points over their next closest rivals. America has figured out the liberal bias in the news - liberal whining notwithstanding. Read the whole article here!

Pew Report

To anyone living in the real world, the results of the latest Pew Research Report are not surprising. The opening paragraph introduces the obvious.

As Barack Obama begins his second year in office, the public’s priorities for the president and Congress remain much as they were one year ago. Strengthening the nation’s economy and improving the job situation continue to top the list. And, in the wake of the failed Christmas Day terrorist attack on a Detroit-bound airliner, defending the country from future terrorist attacks also remains a top priority.

At the same time, the public has shifted the emphasis it assigns to two major policy issues: dealing with the nation’s energy problem and reducing the budget deficit. About half (49%) say that dealing with the nation’s energy problem should be a top priority, down from 60% a year ago. At the same time, there has been a modest rise in the percentage saying that reducing the budget deficit should be a top priority, from 53% to 60%.

Read the whole thing, it is very revealing. Among the things you will discover is that global warming has dropped in importance.

Liberal Reactions to Scott Brown's Victory

By now you have heard that Scott Brown, a Republican, will finish the term started by Ted Kennedy. This political tsunami has brought out the crazy in our friends the lefties. Here are some examples:
  1. The party of teabags and Michael Steele and Sarah Palin wins Ted Kennedy’s seat. Mass voted in someone who’s only platform is to be sure to say no along with the rest of the repubs. I didn’t really think it possible to dumb down such a large population of a pretty enlightened state, guess I was wrong.
  2. To all the libs who stayed home in protest. Now you’ve done it. It’s going to be like the scene in Ghostbusters when all the demons and ghosts get released except all the damage will be REAL and it WON”T be funny.
  3. Make no doubt that this is the gist of what happenend today: This guy was funded by the tea party lobbtist and republicans (secretly). This was a big money play to shut down healthcare and the democratic agenda by insurance companies and corporate America.
  4. It’s unbelieveable that the citizens of MA have elected a nude, Cosmo Centerfold, teabbager that thinks he is JFK to the same seat in the Senate where Jack and Teddy Kennedy sat.
  5. Apparently, some people in Massachusetts swore a pact to the devil and the devil said “okay, it’s a deal.”
  6. Ignorant Teabagging Fools, and the Independent Voters who stood up with that pathietic, porn star-wannabe b*.
  7. It absolutely sickens me… to see this solid blue state have some sleazeball, degenerate, scumbag filth republican as their “representative”. I’m even more sickened and disgusted to see Ted’s seat, that he held for decades on end go to this piece of garbage, cookie cutter, bottom feeding, dirtbag republican.
  8. Another STOLEN election.
  9. If sanity is a right wing, bigoted, homophobic Nazi, well…yes I guess there will be sanity. Pretty faces often hide monsters within.
  10. They are chanting like Nazis at his victory rally. Chilling. A glimpse of things to come.
These are the people who are always lecturing us on how smart they are and how accepting they are of differences. The only people dumb enough to believe that are already liberal. H/T Cassy Fiano

Charles Krauthammer is Great!

Yesterday on FoxNews Charles Krauthammer addressed several subjects. Boy is he right on.

On the Senate race in Massachusetts

Well, if we're going to talk about history, this is a state that hasn't elected a [Republican] senator since 1972, and the seat in question has been ... held by a Kennedy or a Kennedy, let's say, associate, or flunky, or some sort, since ...1952. So this is really astonishing.

And if you look at the internals, what's so interesting is about a tenth of the electorate already has cast a vote as an absentee ... And of those, according to the ARG poll, Brown has a 16-point advantage, 58- 42.

And if you look at independents, which were the swing electorate in Virginia and in New Jersey in November, Coakley is behind by over 20 points.

On President Obama's deciding to campaign in Massachusetts:

His risks are huge. It could be a Copenhagen III. He goes [to] Copenhagen, he loses the Chicago Olympics. He returns [to Copenhagen], and he doesn't get anything on climate change. And now he [goes to] Massachusetts, which is even friendlier. He's got to come back with a victory.

On Obama’s deal with unions on taxing health-care plans:

It is a bribe, and that's why it is so unpopular. Look, it's not just a question of it depriving the Treasury of revenue. It's question of equity.

You've got two workers, same type of job, same plan, same income, one of whom is a member of a union. And the guy who isn't [a union member] is going to end up having a tax of 40 percent on his plan, and the other guy is not. And that's simply incredibly unfair. And obviously, it's a corrupt bargain.

What's really hurting the bill here isn't only the opposition on the substance, the half a trillion in cuts in ... Medicare, and half a trillion in taxes. It's the process.

That deals are [being] made corruptly and so openly is astonishing: the "Louisiana Purchase," a cool $300 million for the Landrieu vote; the — what happened in Nebraska, this eternal exemption that Nebraska would have on paying for the extra Medicaid cost; and now the unions.

The reason it's hurting Obama is he ran on the idea that he would change our politics. It would not be driven by special interest. There would not be the secret deals.

And he's done it with the unions, with the pharmaceutical companies, with the doctors, with the hospitals, all in a way that everybody can see. And that's why he's hurting so much in the [personal] polls and on the health care issue itself.

An Australian Dentist?

I received the following in an email. It supposedly was written by an Australian dentist in response to an Islamic terrorist call to kill Americans. Whether that part of the story is true or not is irrelevant to me. As someone who believes in American exceptionalism it speaks some sacred truths that I hold dear. Hat tip to Marsha.

An American is English, or French, or Italian, Irish, German, Spanish , Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan.

An American may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot, Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as native Americans.

An American is Christian , or he could be Jewish, or Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America than in Afghanistan . The only difference is that in America they are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American is also free to believe in no religion.. For that he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American lives in the most prosperous land in the history of the world.

The root of that prosperity can be found in the Declaration of Independence , which recognizes the God given right of each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American is generous.. Americans have helped out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need, never asking a thing in return.

When Afghanistan was over-run by the Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans came with arms and supplies to enable the people to win back their country!

As of the morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation to the poor in Afghanistan .

The national symbol of America , The Statue of Liberty , welcomes your tired and your poor, the wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed. These in fact are the people who built America

Some of them were working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11 , 2001 earning a better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American if you must. Hitler did. So did General Tojo , and Stalin , and Mao Tse-Tung, and other blood-thirsty tyrants in the world.. But, in doing so you would just be killing yourself . Because Americans are not a particular people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an American.

I know in some circles it is considered gauche to be patriotic. I don't care. These words, whether written by an Australian dentist or a Canadian public relations person, speak the truth.

A Great Article By Ben Stein

I don't know how I missed this but Ben Stein wrote a great article about President Obama several months ago. It might be the best answer to the question I posed in my last post about the true reason behind the health care push.

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth.

Thoughts for a New Year

Some random things I have been pondering:
  1. Why is Washington focusing on health care when people are losing houses and jobs?
  2. Why is the President focusing on health care when we are fighting 2 wars?
  3. Why is anyone focusing on health care when the polls show time after time that over 87% of people are happy with their health care?
  4. Other than liberals, does anyone really believe in global warming any more? Has that hoax been shown up sufficiently that we can now laugh whenever anyone brings it up in our presence?
  5. Is laughter and mockery the best way to handle silly liberal ideas since you can't reason with them?
  6. Other than liberals, has everyone else finally figured out that Obama is an empty suit? An eloquent and good-looking speaker, but pretty thin in the depth department?
  7. Why are liberals so inflexible? They talk about being open-minded constantly but seem to be so close-minded to facts. Feelings - open; facts - closed.
  8. Is the difference between liberals and conservatives two words - common sense?
  9. What really is behind the obsession with health care and global warming that we see among liberals?
  10. Why don't we secure our borders?
What do you think?
